The novel explores themes of friendship, trust, justice, acceptance, forgiveness, and regret within 256 pages, balancing between a serious and humorous tone. The playful and cute art style helps keep the novel light and funny, yet the simplicity of the character designs and facial expressions still captures the real emotions generated and celebrated.

Some key words I would use to describe Nimona are funny, deep, sweet, fun, interesting, and touching. I would say this book could be read by a wide age range, and I think it’s a great novel to showcase serious subject matter while keeping a lightness in the tone. This is also a favorite of mine from this project, and I hope to find more graphic novels that are similar in art style, tone, and plot to this one. I would recommend anyone to take some time and read Nimona!
