Nimona

Ballister Blackheart seeks to meddle with and expose the corruption of The Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics and his nemesis Ambrosius Goldenloin, the people who defamed him, abandoned him, and led him to the path of evil. Betrayed by his best friend, rejected and discarded by his employers, Blackheart stays alone in his quest for revenge and justice, until a shapeshifter named Nimona joins him as his sidekick.

Nimona adds a deadly spark to his plans, but is that what’s best for the both of them? Blackheart must reign in Nimona before he compromises his morals while Nimona must challenge Blackheart to go further than he has before, for himself and the kingdom.

But Nimona isn’t all she shows herself to be (though ever-changing that may be). When The Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics retaliates, both Blackheart and Nimona are confronted with the realization that they don’t know who Nimona is.
